"Thematically, I've always dealt with alienation and isolation. I have often put myself in situations where I am isolated so I can write about that." ~DAVID BOWIE

I know I've brought up this subject many times because David mentioned numerous times himself. He really was obsessed with the subject and subsequent experience whether involuntary or contrived. I've always found it hard to imagine Bowie being a true introverted isolationist as he always appeared to be quite sociable and seemed to have lots of friends and lovers. Perhaps it's more a subject in relation to his half brother Terry. Some of us have suffered the stifling effect of true isolation at times against our will. I'm one of those individuals WHAT ABOUT YOU? ★
Have a good Week start!
So I did a thing this weekend. I got my first tattoo. It’s big and bold just exactly like I wanted. The inspiration for the tattoo is also in there: it’s a simplified version of Starman’s emblem (my favorite superhero). He wasn’t able to ever make things work right until he started working for others on his own terms. It’s a story that resonates with me daily. A few things to note: it stung like hell but not nearly as bad as I thought it would, it was well worth the cost, and the artist, @sailorsushi_ (Wes Lam at Ambition Tattoo)is a maestro that’s made me very happy. Here’s to the next one!!!
This was the end result from the bath I've been posting! Green, glitter filled water 😍
Bombs used from @soakfizzandbubbles @bubble_n_bake and the lovely @lavana_cosmetics 😍
As well as products from @happyplacecosmetics @orchidorganics and @lush 😁
DAVID BOWIE : SCARY MONSTERS AND SUPER CREEPS 1980 RCA GATEFOLD GREECE
What do ya do when you have come to the end of your decade.. When you have owned a decade when nobody has come close... You have covered many styles of music... Spiritually you have been been to the highest highs and the depths of despair.. You end the decade with scary monsters thats what ya do... You come back with a single which tops the chart and is entrenched in the mythology of your own past...a knowing nod to major tom.. The valuable friend...
The opener its no game is Bowie screaming and enraged at the state of the world events and his own middle age... We have side A with hit after pounding hit.. Up the hill backwards all lightness of pop with dark lyrics.. The title track comes on all banging anvils and paranoia pumping and throbbing about the girl from joy divisions shes lost control n mockney accents... Fashion comes in like a sledgehammer all Frippatronics n driving beat... SIDE B opens with one of his finest vocals.. With words for the soundalikes biting at his heels and namechecking himself... Scream like a baby has a nod to the past and his brother Terry in an asylum... A cover of tom verlaine... Beacause your young some more words for the young scensters... He closes the album with a calmer version of the opener nowt changed he has no answers... Resigned...
