Asher, formerly Victor, is next in our series looking to bust another pit bull myth. Asher came to us from a true situation of neglect. He was left alone much of the time in a dangerous situation. He cut up his head sticking it though broken glass trying to get to the animal control officer that came to his aid. He came to PAWS with abcesses he had incurred, because he was in a bad situation and so eager to get to people. Asher, despite his difficult past, is a complete mush, a love who enjoys nothing more than being close to his people. Another lesson learned from a pit bull? A bad situation does not equal a bad dog.
Victor now resides in a great home with 2 canine siblings whose company he clearly enjoys. His Mom writes: Asher has fully integrated into our pack and become a loving brother to our other two dogs, Mario, a pitbull, and Maggie, a bulldog. They have developed a close bond, and Asher is a patient, protective, and caring brother. He loves to go on walks, is great on the leash, is very willing to learn, and shows his pitbull heart in everything he does. He’s so happy!! He is the kindest dog and everyone that meets him just melts over him. He loves getting marrow bones and then burying them and he has even learned how to swim and absolutely loves it! We couldn't be happier for Asher and family, and we think this story shows how resilient and loving pit bulls are DESPITE having come from a not-so-perfect past.PitbullAwarenessMonth PitbullAwarenessSeries Loveabull adoptabull dontbullymybreed destroythemyths asher cutie happilyeverafter
