ivsaver(@get_ivsaver)historyofabortionThanks to joebiden you likely have been hearing a lot about the hydeamendment these days. Do you know what that is? It's cool if not. Let us tell you. The Hyde Amendment is a legislative provision barring the use of federal funds to pay for abortion except to save the life of the pregnant person, or if the pregnancy arises from incest or rape. This significantly affects Medicaid recipients. Medicaid currently serves approximately 15.6 million women* in the US including 1 in 5 women of reproductive age (women aged 15–44). The original Hyde Amendment was passed in 1976 and named for its chief sponsor, Republican Congressman Henry Hyde of Illinois. Since it's creation it has been in the hot seat, and different states have allocated their own Medicaid funds to pay for abortion care beyond the Hyde Amendment requirements. Know some stuff about The Hyde Amendment? Spirit Attenuation Well: Spirituality was a major element of the slave trade, especially in Badagry. Along the path in Gberefu Island, there sits a well bordered by a small wall that discourages anyone from drinking from it. During the slave trade, the well is said to have been charmed by shamans and chiefs. Slaves on their way to the Americas were given water from the well to forget their home and cut their psychological ties to Badagry. It is said that the water would take effect 3 months into the journey, supposedly leaving the slave with no connection to anything but the lives they had been sold into. The locals claim that no one has drunk from the well in over a century.Badagry badagrytour badagrycoconut badagrytrip badagryslaveroute badagryslavemuseum badagrydiasporafestival badagrybeach africanart transatlanticslavetrade culture history historyfacts nigeria bloggerstyle travelblogger travelphotography travel

Siempre me trae buenos recuerdos y preguntas. . . . . . .history historia mexico cultura culture sufragio femenino mujeres 1963 1964

The Point of No Return: For all the trauma of their experiences and the agony of their journey from home, the Point of No Return was the place where African slaves were finally confronted with their future as slaves. Here, at the shores of the Atlantic, the captives were handed over to the Europeans. As the name suggests, it is said that anyone who made it to this point had no chance of returning home. It was here at the edge of a place they called home that the slaves would see an iteration of the bloody price they had to pay for the color of their skin.Badagry badagrytour badagrycoconut badagrytrip badagryslaveroute badagryslavemuseum badagrydiasporafestival badagrybeach africanart transatlanticslavetrade culture history historyfacts nigeria bloggerstyle travelblogger travelphotography travel

Táto revolúcia bola jedným z mnohých konfliktov studenej vojny a nepochybne prispela k rozvoju Maďarska ako takého, na ktoré sa pozeráme dnes. Som rád, že som sa tejto akcie mohol zúčastniť. Never heard of him? Well, get ready for a story full of jail breaks, fecal daggers, and peg legs! Peter Freuchen was born in 1886 to a businessman who drove him hard to excel at school. Young Peter, however, had different plans. He dropped out of a prestigious medical school and took all the money he had to go on a truly epic adventure. He met up with his friend Knud Rasmussen and took a ship that sailed as far north from Denmark as any ship would travel. Then, they took sled teams and pushed 600 miles deeper north. There, they discovered the Inuit people, and their lives changed forever.elyucateco sofakingpodcast hotsauce podcast peterfreuchen explorer expedition funny comedy adventure history podbellynetwork podbelly

If you aren't the claustrophobic type, you may enjoy visiting Akenobe mine (明延鉱山) in Hyogo prefecture. It is reported that copper from this mine was donated during the casting of the Great Buddha in Todaiji Temple in Nara. The mine shut down in 1987 but parts of the tunnel was left as is and are still open to public (must make reservations). WBW : THE HISTORY OF TRAINING FREQUENCY. - In the 50’s (before steroids became prevalent), guys like Steve Reeves, Reg Park, and Bill Pearl did full body workouts 3 times per week. But past the beginner stage, their workouts included more and more volume, often taking them well over 2 hours to complete. - In the 60’s, bodybuilders like Dave Draper, Arnold, and Frank Zane started splitting up the body over 2-3 sessions and training 6 days per week. You'd often find many of them training twice a day. Splitting the body up made the workouts shorter, allowing them to train with more intensity. - In the 70’s, Arthur Jones and Mike Mentzer promoted high intensity training (HIT), trying to move bodybuilding away from the high volume school of thought and spending hours in the gym. Arthur was a full body workout advocate as well as pretty much only doing one exercise per muscle group, where Mike Mentzer was more into traditional body part splits and doing a few exercises per body part. - In the 80's, most of the top bodybuilders (Lee Haney, Rich Gaspari, Gary Strydom, Berry DeMey, Mike Christian, etc) were still following high volume routines. However, most of these guys switched to a 3 on/1 off training split which allowed better systemic recovery. This era also saw an increase in the use of aerobic work to help get lean. - It was in the 90’s and the dominance of Dorian Yates where training each body part only once a week became popular. Yates was a Mike Mentzer HIT advocate using a split system training each body part only once a week, doing multiple exercises per body part, and working up to one all out set for each. - Today training a muscle group only once a week has become known as the "bro split." This term was coined by those in the evidence based community when research started to demonstrate that training a muscle group 2 or 3 times a week could be superior. - Despite evidence towards hitting a muscle group more frequently, in the real world, the bro split still remains the most popular split used. - Tomorrow I will present some pros and cons to each of these, as well as include recommendations for each level of training.
