Outside of being a mummy, I am a nurse. I have worked in the NHS for 12 years. We provide 24/7 care, 365days a year and we always provide the best care. With everything that is going on at the moment we are all scared. The unknown is scary. There are a few things you can do to help the NHS. โขIf you have been exposed to coronavirus but are well, isolate yourself. โขIf you are unwell but ok to stay at home, phone 111 and stay at home. โขIf you are experiencing real breathing problems, go to a&e.
Please remember that, yes we are nurses, but we are people, we have lives outside of work and we have families. Please donโt put us at anymore risk than we are already are. No matter who comes through the doors, we will always treat them.
The best bit of advice I have seen is from prof Graham Morley- Act as if you already have it and donโt want to infect other people. Not as if you are trying to avoid being infected.
Stay safe people! ๐
Ps- stop panic buying toilet roll!! Itโs crazy! ๐๐
