What we spend our time on is EXACTLY what we’ll produce at the end of the day. (That should go without saying, but I’m saying it anyways.) So choose what you invest your time into wisely..
If we : have a goal, or want to produce anything, or want to learn a new skill, or just want to become the person with the traits that we desire but don’t currently embody, then THAT is what we have to put our energy and focus into each day.
I shared these words with my sister on the phone one recent morning. As fellow stay at home moms, she and I are ALWAYS trying to figure out how to :
be more effective with love and discipline,
be more organized people, with housekeeping, meal planning, etc, and just be better at “life with kids” in general,
and most importantly, how to do this WITHOUT getting burnt out on this occupation of ours and still maintain a little sense of and space for self. Not a big space, but a space nonetheless. .. It’s a tricky equation. One that we haven’t solved yet but continue to try. I’ll be sure to share the formula when I figure it out 😆
