"We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals."
I would add as well to that lot all living things, including the ground upon which we walk. The notion that we live our lives for monetary means is honestly somewhat insane to me at this stage of life. We are destroying all that is important for the sake of something that is not even real. Does your money smile? Does it cry, laugh, scream, give birth. We as a society are sick.....deeply, wholly, ill. We neglect the all that is meaningful to fulfill the obligations of those that could care less about real life. When I walk through the woods with this handsome dude and see the love in his eyes, that is all that I need from life. I seek these meaningful connections with every living thing I encounter. If money has been the motivation to interact with any person in my experience, that relationship has failed miserably or come at the expense of others peace. This is exactly the impact our lives have on everything around us. We choose our personal whims, over the health of all things, which in the end includes the health of ourselves. What do the health of the relationships and the people in them say about your life? Are you proud of the results? Judge your success not on the commas of your self inflation but on the qualitative impact visible on the faces of those in your life. We can change the world, one loving interaction at a time <3
