What a brilliant weekend. Night out with friends and then a trip to Tribe Animal Sanctuary Scotland (TASS) to get cuddles from all the rescues. Each one of those gorgeous beings has a story to tell. We were in our element. Lovely people who own the sanctuary too tribeanimalsanctuaryscotlandrescueanimalsfriendsnotfood
Sanctuary life, their best life in a speciesist world. ♥️🐮 Spending time @lerevedaby with Jeanne, Aby (picture) and all their fortunate friends is kinda the best way to occupy your Sunday afternoon.
Thoughts to the billions of victims who’ll never feel the sun on their skin, the breeze on their nose, the grass on their feet.
I love you.
Be in peace.
Today is smallbutmightysunday over here at Pet Greens. We want to give a great big shout-out to the @wwaystation We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with the Wildlife Waystation Grass Team, in helping to enrich the animal’s lives, for many years now. The bears held an especially great fondness for the grass we would send along for them to enjoy each week.
After 43 years of operation under Martine Collette, Wildlife Waystation will be closing their doors. With the assistance of the Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Tigers in America organization the Waystation animals are in the process of being relocated to other wildlife sanctuaries. All 10 bears left this week for The Wild Animal Sanctuary and new Refuge area in Colorado where the bears will have a very large 100-acre habitat to roam.
Our hearts go out to all the animals and the dedicated staff during this time of transition. They are working hard to find wonderful new homes for ALL the animals.
Head over to their page to see how you can show your support.
Here is a pic of Tiani enjoying the grass. Even big cats love our Pet Grass! Have a great Sunday friends! petgreens 🐱🐶🌱
This curious bird is a Wreathed Hornbill!! One of seven that are at the Bali Wildlife Rescue Centre in Tabanan, Bali. The centre that I visited rescues birds and animals from poaching, black market and other reasons. This was such a wonderful experience and I will definitely be returning!! 💚educationwildlifewarriorhornbillrescueanimals
A big thank you to all the volunteers to helped do alot of cleaning and organizing. And we also received a few new kids today. Italy and Holland dwarf bunnies, Drew a Shire horse, American Guinea hogs, Icelantic sheep and Elenor a nubian goat. Make sure you come meet them!
It is with sadness that we say farewell to our sweet Aristotle, last of our original herd from California. She showed no sign of illness, kept eating regularly, had a vet visit last week as a routine check up and she was fine.
This morning I went to go feed the herd their breakfast and found her. She looked extremely peaceful the way she was lying their with a portion of the blanket covering her. It brings me comfort knowing that she well join her original herd and she wasn't in pain when she passed away. Extremely thankful I gave her extra loving this week as well.
She was a gentle soul and left this world peacefully and with grace. She was the best guinea pig ever and was my little favorite from the start.guineapigguineapigscavycaviesguineapigsofinstagramadoptdontshoprescueanimalsshelteranimals
Brownie knows the best leaves are always the highest. When the sheep are let out to free-range around the sanctuary, Brownie and Buddy go too even though they're goats. The sheep graze but goats like to browse--nibbling on shrubs, bushes and pine. Brownie had hoof issues after being rescued from a petting zoo. But with love and proper medical care for her hooves, she can now roam the farm giving master classes in the art of the browse
