Conditioning Day. 20 - 15yard Hill Sprints Every 5 forward sprints I mixed in the backpedal up the hill. Hills are a fundamental training stimulus, it helps teach good running mechanics, it's great for conditioning and it makes you faster and more explosive. Back pedal really taxes the legs. Focus on proper running mechanics as you run the hills - Forward lean, high knee drive, good aggressive arm action and hard drives through the ground. Keep working hard at home! I couldn’t run around Wapato lake anymore so Floki and I headed down to the waterfront this evening. It’s only about 15 minutes from my place and it was empty! I’ve never seen the mural in with no people before so that was very cool. Mentally running is becoming super important to me. Este tiempo de cuarentena es difícil para todos de diversas formas. La gran mayoría hemos tenido que dejar nuestra rutina y cosas que nos gustan hacer. En mi caso cada día extraño mas no estar con la gente con la que más comparto y que mas aprecio.. mis amig@s, dejar de ir a trabajar y compartir tantos buenos momentos, reírme cada turno y olvidarme de todo por unas horas, compartir con un gran grupo humano que algun@s ya son muy cercanos a mí. También dejar de ir a la pista es algo que se extraña. Dejar de visitar el lugar donde ponía mi esfuerzo en cada entrenamiento y competencia en busca de mis objetivos; esta temporada parecía que iba ser mi mejor temporada pudiendo realizar muy buenos entrenamientos, controles y logrando mi mejor marca en el nacional. Espero que pase luego esto para volver a mis 2 queridas casas.. I never thought I would give so much of myself, but I'm mistaken yet again. . At 5 seconds I have a Vanna White moment, and I don't regret a second of it. 😉 . The exercises are self-explanatory, but I use them to refresh during the middle of a workday. The beauty is that you don't need fancy equipment! I used a kettlebell, but you can literally use anything with weight and a handle. 🏋️‍♀️ .
