Another virus year one off print, probably one of my earliest 5x7s. I’m using these one-offs to play with various uncoated fine art papers I’m digging up around here. This one is the Eve of beautiful papers used for fine art ink printing, going back to Iris, Somerset Velvet Radiant White, an English mould made cotton printmaking paper. As coatings and inkjet evolved, a coated version of this paper came out, and never really got me. But now I’m reminded of how beautiful this original paper is, and the potential results with ink, I completely forgot about it over the years, will definitely get back into it.
Additionally, Rives BFK, some wonderful Magnani papers, and of course Arches- watercolor and cover will be coming up in these one offs. Jeez, feel like I should be doing a class…
