🏆 NEW BIKE PR > 2:17:49 🏆
Well, I went into Atlantic City with some lofty goals...this wasn’t one of them! 🤣
The priority was to ensure a solid swim and bike with a sub 2hr run (which I’ve done several times before...just not this year 🙄).
Well, I felt awesome on the bike so I just kept pedaling?! (56 miles at 24.4mph 😬) 🤷🏼♂️
It down poured on about half the ride slowing me down around all the corners, and the congestion on the second loop didn’t help either...but somehow I still managed a new PR!
The goal power was between 230-240 watts..⚡️⚡️..I ended up running right around 250 watts, but again didn’t feel bad at all?!
The goal heart rate was between 148-152 BPM..❤️❤️..I ended up averaging 159!? 🤦🏼♂️
The interesting part of the day is I felt great on the bike, never felt tired...never felt sore...could have kept going!! Only problem, I still had to run and the burnt matches caught up to me there. I even spent 10min of the ride at wattage over 500 and it’s a flat course!! 🤦🏼♂️🚴🏻♂️🥞
So, I’m excited for the new PR...and if I didn’t have to run I think I could have pushed it even faster...but lesson learned - follow the plan so I can run more effectively! 🤷🏼♂️
On a side note though: the Miami Man Auquabike I have planned in November...has 2:10-2:15 bike split written all over it! 🤘🏻😝👊🏻
