It was my first major injury and it hit me like a truck. During that time I was training the hardest I ever had, and being the most active. HOW TO GET YOUR ABS POPPIN' IN 5 MIN: You donโ€™t. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm sure youโ€™ve heard it before but it takes TIME to burn fat. When you are consistently in a caloric deficit, fat-burn will take place and your abdominal muscles will EVENTUALLY make an appearance, if you have trained them! โ€ข So hereโ€™s a circuit I do weekly just to make sure that my abs are being worked, and isolated. I find that keeping my core tight during my entire workout is beneficial, BUT, isolating my abs at the end of a workout is definitely my fave! โ€ขโ€ขโ€ข Ab Circuit๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ 1. Med Ball Russian Twists: love these for targeting my obliques (side abs) lift your legs for an added challenge and really twist to each side. Think about feeling the contraction each way rather than speed . 2. Hanging or Roman Chair leg raise: Do this with bent knees, or straight legs if you have a stronger core! Make sure to pull with your ABS not your hip flexors! Again, smaller range of motion is better if youโ€™re targeting your abs, instead of a larger range of motion triggering your hips and legs. . 3. Plank hold (weighted) with knee taps: This is my recent fave!! While in a plank (weighted if youโ€™re advanced) tap your knees on the ground BY PULLING THEM INTO YOUR BELLY BUTTON. You should feel this in your LOWER ABS. It is not a resting movement, instead, you are in constant tension with your abs!!!! Tuck your hips under and you should try to tuck your knees into your belly button while keeping your toes on the ground! . . 4. Mountain climbers with bosu ball: The bosu ball adds stabilization to your core, so make sure youโ€™re SQUEEZING THOSE GLUTES, to keep your core tight! . . I typically do 20-30 reps of each exercise! and 3 rounds at the end of my cardio!๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ . Let me know what questions you have in the comments below!
